Sooke Village Plan
Sooke, BC
Beginning with an existing street layout and property boundaries, a plan was prepared to expand them into a complete network of streets and open spaces. The goal is to foster a fully functioning town centre in a new location, removed from the highway. A new shop-lined “high street” will visually and physically link Sooke to the waterfront, acting as a backbone for the town centre. In the surrounding area, locations have been picked out for commercial and residential development, arts and cultural facilities, a public plaza, a library, and a farmer’s market.
