The Boardwalk Building, 2950 Jutland Road
Due to market demand, the originally intended concept for an entirely residential building, was revisited and the complex redesigned as four stories of offices over two residential levels. The office portion follows the geometry of the street while the residential levels align with the restructured rail-spur as a boardwalk along the Selkirk Waterway. Rainwater is captured and held in cisterns for landscape and water features. Water-source heat pumps and a full array of high efficiency building envelope, electric systems and equipment contributed to the LEED Gold Certification.
