A plan to guide private development and public infrastructure, and to start programs for increasing the use of active transportation modes, in this waterfront town of 4500. The initial study included an urban design component in which potential projects in 5 key locations were identified and demonstrated through plans and sketches. In addition, a more general future plan for Chemainus was developed, linking the town to the waterfront via the transportation network and other developments.
