This 59 000-square-foot multi-family residential development is situated near a well-established residential neighbourhood. Divided into three main structures, the project creates a transition in scale across an entire block with its 4-storey condominium buildings (48 units) alongside a 2-storey row of townhouses (6 units). There are frontages along three streets that vary in scale and levels of traffic, featuring private garden alleys for pedestrian access to the site. The architecture is quietly contemporary, drawing inspiration for its materials and forms from the surrounding natural landscape. The project received the Canadian Wood Council’s Woodworks BC award for its use of Western Red Cedar.
